We were NOT able to see where our dog would stay, since the "suite" is in the owner's apartment. They keep your dog behind the counter if the kennel was not ready, with small objects laying around (choking hazard) and exposed electrical wires your dog could easily chew on and get burned, or worse. Dogs love to chew, and the owner's should have been more careful about this!! The "suites" are upstairs, and you are NOT allowed to see them. I was finally told they were in the owner's apartment. However, my dog could have been kept in a tiny plastic crate for all I knew!!! I understand the need for privacy, but I was NOT comfortable leaving my dog in an area I could not see. Was it safe? Was it clean? Were there more exposed electrical cords? More small objects to choke on? There was a tiny fenced front entrance, to prevent any escape artists out of the street, but no play area. The dogs are walked frequently (4 times a day) through the neighborhood. This is one block from a very busy road, in a residential area. It seemed safe, but I don't know if I would walk through there by myself at night. The "regular" kennel area was a small room, with the usual cages. The dogs seemed to have plenty of room to move around, and it didn't stink. The owners and staff were a bit odd, but they did seem really care about the dogs. Some items were lost and not returned, but we did get the favorite toys back thankfully. The 24 hour service is nice, and there's only a small fee for odd hours. However, if you have a choice and the time to find something else, I would recommend that. It's doubtful we ever be in Atlantic City again, but if we are, we will spend the time and find a different 'hotel' for our dog.

Not to bad when we dropped our dog off, smelled like old folks home but 7-10 little dogs running around. We picked him up next day, office full of people & dogs. The owner invited my wife into back to get our dog(I will never be able to figure that out). The floor was covered in urine,my wife practicaly had to cover her nose. She got our dog and shot out the door while i paid. She told me about this when i got to our car she also stated as soon as she was outside the dog urinated for 20-30 seconds.I went back in to talk to owner & told him i was extremely PI$$ED. I told the other customers that they were nuts to leave there animals there and left. He came to our car & tried to tell me it was clean & my wife was seeing things. I was so angry i left as we started driving we could smell urine, i pulled over & dogs hind end and tail were soaked in urine, this was from urine in his mini suite. About 10 minutes later we got a phone call from a supposed customer (if you have heard his wifes voice it was her) She stated "WE" not i have a good rating with the DOH, ok how would a customer know this?We had to bathe our dog & have the back seat cleaned as soon as we got home not to mention a 450 mile drive smelling urine. One thing i forgot they were running around so much when they were in the back looking for things a customer let 1 of the small dog's out and they had to run down the street to try & catch it. Second time dog tried to get out someone stepped on it's front paw, they were not even aware of this. What a CLUSTER#@*! PLEASE if you care for your animals don't leave them here.Maybe this was the exception here 1st and last time for us. If you do make sure you take tour of back room there was aprox 15-20 dogs between there and up front. As far as 4 walks- 2 people 20 dogs 5 minutes each thats 400 minutes almost 7 hours a day I don't buy that either. Why do most of the little dogs have on diapers if they are walked so much???? I sure hope we caught them on a bad day

Pet lovers visiting the Jersey Shore or who live in the area need to check out the Atlantic City Pet Hotel and Grooming. The are awsom! I have a very difficult dog who I love and would never put in a Kennel. I love Atlanic City but no Hotels take dogs. I used the Pet Hotel and it really is. They are extremely clean not only in thre reception area but throughout the entire facility. They gave my dog 5 star treatment. She got around the clock attention, had her own room (they don't have gages) got several walks a day, and lots of play time. The best is that you can bring in and pick up your pets 24 hours a day and even visit them everyday if you want. I spoke to lots of customers when I went there to check them out and I now know why the customers and pets love them so much and keep coming back.

If you are unsure, don't be. You may leave your most beloved pet in the care of Jackie and Scott and they will care for him/her as if it was their own. Your baby is safe in their hands.

I have a Boston Terrier who is very active and sometimes a little hyper. The people at this kennel treat him with love and kindness always. They treat him as their own and he loves seeing them. as we approach the facility he gets very excited and can hardly wait to get out of the car. he jumps all over them and follows them easily. I am very fussy about where I leave my beloved pet. I trust them completely and wish they had a kennel in Brooklyn where I live.
